Blind man sees wife for first time after having a TOOTH implanted :

Think of a miracle and it happens every moment in the field of healthcare. Medical technology has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. The things and procedures that were nearly impossible a decade ago can now be done with a snap. The power of medical technology has helped many people live a better life.
      A person who has benefited a lot from advancements in medical technology is Martin Jones. Martin, now around 45, got injured in an accident when a tub of white hot aluminum exploded in his face around 15 years ago. Martin had been blind for the nearly 12 years after the accident, until a rare medical procedure brought back light into his life. This medical procedure is so rare that it has only been performed fewer than 50 times to date. It uses the segment of the individual’s tooth to hold the new lens that is grafted from the skin.
        Martin got married to Gill, 53, around 7 years back when he couldn’t even see her. He always had a deep desire in his heart to be able to see his wife. The accident left Martin’s significant part burnt (37%) and he had to live most part of his day wearing a special body stocking. The accident had such a bad impact that doctors had to remove his left eye.
        But the ray of hope did not die, and he was still determined to see. The rare procedure was carried on Mr. Jones where one of his front teeth was removed to be used as lens holder in his right eye. The surgery was carried out by Dr. Christopher Lui – a Brighton-based surgeon. In fact, Dr. Lui was the only consultant in the country who could perform this revolutionary surgery. As part of the procedure, Mr. Jones’ canine was removed and converted into a holder by drilling a hole into it. The tooth was then inserted back into his cheek for around 12 weeks, to let grow blood vessels and new tissue. The tooth was finally inserted into the right eyeball of Mr. Jones following which he was able to see fully.
         Overwhelmed Mr. Jones wanted to see his wife as the first person after restoration of his eyesight, and this desire of his was fulfilled. He found her to be absolutely amazing and wonderful. Accidents and mishaps are part and parcel of life. The accidents can leave us debilitated by one should never lose hope. Instead one must thank the current facilities and technologies that are available to serve humankind and are helping people to live a better life. Medical technology has advanced to a level that nothing seems impossible now.
         Mr. Jones was amongst the luckier ones who got his eyesight back. Although he is able to see through his right eye only, he has no regrets. He now lives his life happily with his wife. Most importantly, he is ready to take on the challenges of future. We salute the technology and attitude of Mr. Jones.

Binti Jua – The Savior Gorilla :

Do animals show the love and affection as humans do? Yes, they do, but largely towards their own species. For example, a lion would only care about its cubs, but would tear apart calves of a buffalo. Well, there are exceptions to every phenomenon in this world, and we have an amazing exception to site here – Binti Jua – a female western lowland gorilla.
       Gorillas are known to be closely related to humans in terms of DNA. History has given many examples where gorillas have been befriended by humans, for their behavior is somewhat similar to our species. Gorillas are known to be strong and can have a great grip, as they are closer to humans in built and make. Gorilla is such a species that has shown a human-like behavior when it comes to caring about children. Well, there are several incidents to count where animals have displayed their love and affection for other species, this one involving Binti Jua is really out of the box!
        Binti Jua is a female in the Brookfield Zoo, Brookfield, IL. She is particularly known for an incident that took in August of 1996. At that time, Binti was only eight years old. As all the animals are kept in an enclosure in a zoo, Binti wasn’t any exception. One of the visitors, a small 3-year-old boy, happened to climb the wall around her enclosure and accidentally fell into it. The 18-feet fall and the concrete base of the enclosure rendered him unconscious along with a broken hand a wound on the side of his face. Everyone one witnessed the incident was terrified and worried about the boy. Of course, the helpless spectators could do nothing, but scream.
        To everyone’s surprise, Binti Jua – the heroine of our story – walked to the injured and unconscious boy and consoled her, keeping the other gorillas at bay at the same time. Binti growled ferociously as other gorillas in the enclosure tried to approach the child. To everyone’s surprise, Binti protected the boy until the zoo personnel could retrieve him.
        It was only after this incident that Binti got recognition and fame! However, there have many incidents reported in the past, but none of this kind. Also, the incident triggered a debate between the experts as to what could possibly be the reason of Binti’s behavior – was it the fact that she was hand-raised (zoo training) or it was purely animal altruism. A similar incident was reported from Jersey Zoo where a male gorilla, named Jambo, protected a 5-year-old child who fell into his enclosure. Experts ruled out the fact that Binti’s behavior could be due to training as Jambo was not at all trained to care for children. Instead, he was raised by his own gorilla mother in captivity.
        Nature is wonderful and has a lot of colors to amaze us with each passing day. Just as we think that we have seen enough, nature will show us something more amazing! Just keep watching and enjoying!

8-year-old Boy Marries 61-year-old in South Africa :

Search around the world and you’ll come across something that is weirder than what you saw and experienced last time. The world is full of weird things. There is dearth of things and facts that will amaze you. It is fun when you go on to search what people are doing around the world. This is when you find amazing things. Now, what would be your reaction if we tell you that an 8-year-old boy married a 61-year-old lady? Mouth wide open? Eyes wide open? Or both? We had both our eyes and mouth wide open when we heard about this 8-year-old boy getting married to a 61-year-old lady in South Africa. We could not have asked for a spicier and weirder news!
        This in itself is a big news that an 8-year-old schoolboy married a mother-of-five 61-year-old woman, until you’ll come to know that he did it only because the ghost of his dead ancestors asked him to do so. The boy’s name is Sanele Masilele, hailing from Tshwane, South Africa. The lady is Helen Shabangu, already married, with 5 kids. In fact, per the instructions of Sanele Masilele’s dead instructors, the ceremony was carried out with full pomp and show. Bride was paid £500 and an additional £1,000 were spent on the D day.

The ceremony was carried out with all the formalities that you would see in a normal wedding – bride and groom walking in an aisle, pronouncing each other as partners, and kissing each other. Sanele Masilele, however, looked cute in bow tie and small silver suit. Sanele is the youngest of five children. The community is more shocked than surprised, but were speechless as family defended the wedding completely.
        The marriage, however, was just a ritual and not a legal binding, per the family. Sanele says that she chose Helen because he loves her and has done this marriage to make his ancestors happy. According to the family, had Sanele not done this, something bad would have happened in the family, for sure.
       The couple, however, does not have to live together after the wedding as it was just a ritual and not a legal marriage. The bride and groom did not sign a marriage certificate, and went back to their normal lives after the ritual was over. Well, there are a lot of similar things you might come across around the world. People have strong belief in their ancestors and would do anything to keep them happy. The mindset of people is such that they do not want to get harmed by such forces, which they believe exist. Everyone seemed to be happy with the wedding, including the parents of the groom, real husband of the bride, the community, and everyone else. They all put a nice and entertaining show together. In fact, you must thank Sanele’s ancestors that they pushed him into such a wedding and created a great show for all. We enjoyed it after all!

Eternal Flame Falls - Erie County, New York

Deep into the Chestnut Ridge Park there's a beatiful waterfall named Eternal Flame Falls because of a small flame burning eternally at the base of it. Even though it seems marvelous to conclude that the flame burning in a small grotto at the bottom of  the falls is eternal, but the fact is that its not actually eternal. A small cavern, five feet above the brooks bed houses the natural gas spring that just happens to be burning. The flame also goes out occasionally but is re-lit by the commuters that finds it extinguished. Situated between the West branch Cazenovia creek and Eighteenmile creek valleys of New-York, Chestnut Ridge Park is a breathtaking summer family destination and none can deny the fairy-tale charm of the area. Eternal falls is located deep inside the vicinity of park and approachable from a narrow trail that leads to the southern edge of the park.

The region around the Eternal falls have a different smell to the encircling forest due to the natural gas seeping through the cracks and layers of shale. A small grotto at the bottom of the Eternal Flame Falls encloses the gas seepage enabling it to sustain a flame of 4-8 inches in height when lit. There are many more gas springs around the falls that can seen as bubbles rising up from the base of the waterfall. Sometimes hickers have to reignite the flame, as when the waterflow is too strong, it pours over the grotto diminishing the flame. Still this exceptional natural phenomenon, make this waterfall one of a kind in world where a flame, sometimes more than one, can be seen through the trickle of a waterfall

Asperatus - The Armageddon Clouds :

 Considered a rare and comparatively new species of clouds, bloated asperatus formation looks very like upside-down stormy ocean waves. It was not not until 2009, when the Undulatus Asperatus was officially registered in the International Atlas of  clouds after being propesed by Gavin Pretor-Pinney of the Cloud Appreciation Society as a potential new cloud to the Royal Meteorological Society, they were just another illustration of weirdness by mother nature. The variety of cloud is called asperatus, latin for roughened up and are classified under undulatus category that literally means wave and thus the name perfectly illustrates how they look, like roughned up waves.

The asperatus are realatively low clouds and can been seen at about two thousand to six thousand meters. The bumpy formations of clouds are caused by cold and warm air accosting between the middle and lower atmosphere inducing a turbulant effect, though there is still a sort of conflict between scientists abount this theory. Even thought undulatus asperatus look stormy and dark with their "end of the world is nigh" impression, they usually tend to dissipate without a storm forming.  These wicked scary clouds are common to the  plains of United States America in pirticular, and are often formed amid midday or the morning hours following thunderstorm activity.

DaVinci's wooden robot - The first Humanoid

First known humanoid robot was designed and created by Leonardo Da Vinci  during 1495. He first displayed his robot in working mode in Milan at a party hosted by his patron Lodovico Sforz and sent people there into amazement with his capabilities. The Robot looked like a knight in Italian-German medieval armour. The robot could maneuver its arms independently, sit and stand, raise its visor, open and close it's mouth, it could also move its head side to side with the use of a lissomneck. All the movements were imitated with the series of pulleys and cables. The robot knight was fabricated in two working structures. The upper body part ie the chest area from where the complete four-factor system was power and controlled which in turn moves the arms, hands, shoulders and elbows. Secondly, there is a lower body tri-factor system, which controls the hips, knees and ankles via a cable and crank.
           Sadly, the Robot is lost or was destroyed long ago. But the robot has been rebuilt on the bases of design notes appeared in Leonardo's sketchbooks and proved to be fully functional. Even Nasa has used these designs as an inspiration and basis for their Anthrobot, which is planned to assist in colonizing the Mars.
